David Strosberg founded Morningside Group in 1993 as a boutique real estate development firm specializing in creating mixed-use and multi-family buildings on in-fill sites in urban locations. Since its inception, the firm has been based in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Focusing on major market and suburban downtowns, he has overseen the acquisition and development of the firm’s extensive portfolio of successful buildings. These quality developments established Morningside as a market leader in creating exceptional environments for life, work, shopping, and entertainment.
Utilizing his nearly 30 years of experience with the built environment, Mr. Strosberg oversees all aspects of a community’s design, marketing, and construction. Prior to founding the company, he was a general partner of a national real estate investment firm, managing partner of a real estate marketing firm, and a development/ construction manager for commercial and residential projects in the northeastern United States. Mr. Strosberg received an MBA in Real Estate from Columbia University in the City of New York, as well as a BS in Architecture from the University of Michigan’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Mr. Strosberg is a member of the Urban Land Institute, theNational Historic Trust’s Main Street program, and the University of Michigan’s Presidents Club. He is a licensed architect in Illinois and Michigan and an instrument-rated, FAA-certified private pilot. In 2003, he was named Business Person of the Year by the Greater Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce for his contributions to the redevelopment of its downtown. He is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, and his wife, Jory, and their three children reside in their homes in Chicago and Highland Park, Illinois.

Ronald Mucha, a senior vice president and principal of Morningside Equities Group, leads the firms Michigan office. Over the last 15 years, Ron has developed a reputation for creative work in acquisition, zoning/entitlement, financing, and design/construction.
Ron has led the successful development of many of Morningside’s highly acclaimed mixed-use projects, including the firm’s entire Michigan portfolio. He points with pride to the significant value created through the public/private partnerships he has forged.
Ron received an MBA from Northwestern University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Prior to joining Morningside in 1999, Mr. Mucha served as a land development specialist for Pasquinelli, Inc.

Gordon Strosberg is based in Morningside’s Michigan office. He serves as an owner’s on-site representative and advises on both construction and property management matters. He has consulted on all of Morningside’s developments and property acquisitions and has daily responsibilities on Morningside’s Michigan projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Strosberg began his career with General Motors and was an engineer and manager for the Ford Motor Company for nearly 40 years. He oversaw the development of manufacturing processes and facilities as well as a staff of project engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. He supervised the site selection, planning, and engineering of manufacturing and assembly facilities, including the Wixom, Michigan and Wayne, Michigan automobile assembly plants.
During his tenure with Ford, Mr. Strosberg was awarded 12 patents for unique engineering solutions to process and facilities problems. He also received numerous company awards for contributions to product quality. In 1947, Mr. Strosberg received a BS in Engineering from the University of Detroit.
